Beginning in April 2026, inmates who reside in halfway houses or are under community supervision will be able to enroll in a series of new training courses curated by Yellow Ribbon Singapore (YRSG), which will be conducted by Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL), such as Polytechnics. Yellow Ribbon Singapore and SIMPDF, piloted the SkillsFuture Career Transition Programme (SCTP) in Environmental Services Specialist, developed and delivered by Temasek Polytechnic. Ex-offenders who complete training and secure jobs will be supported by the new SIMPDF Progression Award to recognize their skills and aid in their reintegration.
